Sadie Weinberg

Continuing Lecturer in Dance

Sadie completed her BFA at the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College in NY and her MFA at UC Irvine. She has presented work as an independent choreographer on many self-produced and collaborative concerts in San Diego and in Germany, Canada, Russia, Mexico, New York, Chicago, and throughout the U.S. In San Diego, Sadie was a company member with Malashock Dance, McCaleb Dance and Jean Isaac's San Diego Dance Theater and been on faculty at UC San Diego, San Diego State University, Cal State San Marcos, MiraCosta College, Palomar College, Coronado School of the Arts, Canyon Crest Academy and other high school programs. In 2018, Sadie began LITVAKdance, a non-profit dance company based in NW San Diego county, because she felt there was a need to bring new dance voices to the table in San Diego, a city sometimes isolated from other dance communities by its surrounding topography.  Through LITVAKdance, Sadie has brought many guest choreographers to San Diego while also highlighting the voices of some of San Diego’s strongest dancemakers alongside her work and the work LITVAKdance's diverse company members. Weinberg's choreography has been featured in Festivals throughout the US and Abroad and her work recently won 2nd place in the Temecula Front and Main Festival.
