Remote Instruction for Fall Quarter

As you are all aware, the parameters for on-campus instruction has been evolving throughout the summer, and we await for more updates from the Chancellor regarding fall quarter instruction. Each unit on campus is also tasked with determining what is considered absolutely essential for in-person instruction. In alliance with campus EHS, our planning for the coming academic year is based on three principles:
  • Health and well-being are our primary concern
  • We want to provide in-person instruction to the extent possible, consistent with public health and safety guidance from the CDC, State of California, and San Diego County.
  • Recognizing that some students may not be able to come to campus, and that not all courses can be offered in-person this fall.

Until further notice, for the health and well-being of our community, the Department of Theatre + Dance has decided that all course instruction for fall quarter will be held remotely. We will keep in touch with you as we receive more details from campus administration.

For all first year graduate students who need to satisfy California State residency, while amendments due to COVID-19 do not require you to be in-state for fall quarter, you are required to be in-state by first week in January 2021. For further questions regarding residency, not answered by the Registrar's Office, please contact the Residence Deputy at the Registrar's Office: residencedeputy@ucsd.edu.
