Kristin Arcidiacono

Continuing Lecturer in Dance

Biography

Kristin Arcidiacono is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and producer of dance. Kristin believes that learning to dance is imperative to the mind/body connection and has completed extensive research in recognizing dance as a positive instructional art form in the educational curriculum.

Professionally, Kristin performed and toured locally and internationally with several acclaimed Dance Companies including Jazz Unlimited and California Rhythm Project. She filmed a German Jazz dance documentary, has performed commercially in television and industrials, and traveled Europe as a quest artist with two LA based dance companies. Kristin has choreographed countless student performances for Dance Companies, High Schools, Community Colleges and at UCSD. She is also resident choreographer for full length Musical Theater Productions which have included Chicago, Rocky Horror Show and Heathers at San Diego City College.

Kristin instructs classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theater Dance and is currently on faculty at UCSD, City College and Grossmont College. She loves working with her students and sharing her passion for dance, and credits them for her inspiration and love for teaching.
