Vida Huang is a second-year MFA lighting design student. She was born in California and grew up in Taiwan. She graduated from the California State University of Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in technical theatre, and her specialty is lighting design. After graduating, she got hired by the National Theatre and Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. In the venue, she worked as an assistant stage manager and lighting technician for two and a half years. As a result, she gained much experience in all performance genres. She also learned a lot about managing a venue and maintaining different lighting equipment. She hopes one day, she can gather all her interest into her design.
