Biography

Paulina Colmenares is third year MFA in Dance Making and Performance candidate. She is a Mexican artist and dancemaker borned and raised in the southern city of Oaxaca. She holds a B.A in Dance from Universidad de las Americas Puebla. She has shared her choreographic work throughout many different independent and institutional venues and international dance festivals in Mexico and San Diego CA. Her work has been comissioned several times by the State Council for Culture and Arts in the City of Puebla Mexico, and she is currently a recipient of the FINBA/CONACYT Mexican National Fellowship for international graduate studies in fine arts.
