Chesed Chap

Biography

Chesed Chap is a playwright, cartoonist, and comedian from Patagonia, Arizona. She received her B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies from Yale University. She published a comics series in The Yale Herald and was a writer and director for the sketch comedy troupe Red Hot Poker.

Her play Education was selected for the 2023 Yale Playwrights Festival, and later produced by the Yale Dramatic Association at the Iseman Theater.

Her other plays produced include Swingers: The Musical (co-written with David Deruiter) and Fuck the Goat, which received the Marina Keegan Award for Excellence in Playwriting.
