It’s the early 2000s and Jules is falling for an anonymous stranger she meets on Craigslist. Meanwhile, somewhere else in time, it's the beginning of the Ice Age and caveman Gor is falling for a stranger named Fiv. SOMEONE NORTH LOVES YOU explores the mysteries of friendship and romance at two distant points in human history, asking what it means to fall in love in a cold and dangerous world.

Creative Team
Chesed Chap is a playwright, cartoonist, and comedian from Patagonia, Arizona. She received her B.A. in
Theater and Performance Studies from Yale University. She published a comics series in The Yale Herald and was a writer and director for the sketch comedy troupe Red Hot Poker.
Her play Education was selected for the 2023 Yale Playwrights Festival, and later produced by the Yale Dramatic Association at the Iseman Theater.
Her other plays produced include Swingers: The Musical (co-written with David Deruiter) and Fuck the Goat, which received the Marina Keegan Award for Excellence in Playwriting.
Ian Anthony Coleman (him) is a Black, Queer director, choreographer, and educator from Washington, DC. A
bold storyteller specializing in world-building and reimagining classics, he is a versatile director whose range extends from intimate new works to large-scale musical comedies.
Before beginning his MFA, Ian was an active artist and advocate within the DC theatre scene for over a decade. He recently served as the Performing Arts Director at Barrie School, where he directed and choreographed over twenty productions, and was a Lead Teaching Artist at Round House Theatre. His directing work has been seen at institutions including The Catholic University of America, Montgomery College and Creative Cauldron. As an actor, he has performed nationally and internationally with companies such as Signature Theatre, Arena Stage, Olney Theatre Center, and The Kennedy Center.
Ian graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with his B.S. in International Relations & Politics, minoring in French & Francophone Studies. He is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and serves on the Advisory Board for Only Make Believe.
