A complicated stepmother with complicated feelings casts a complicated curse on her
complicated step-children. A bold and inventive retelling of an Irish fairytale, 900 Years spans
centuries of family drama to explore the consequences of intergenerational trauma and the
complex magic of forgiveness.
Cambria Lorene Herrera is a third-year MFA candidate from Garden Grove, California. Their queer, Xicanx identity is central to their practice and often brings them to leading cross-cultural theatrical experiences or community art events. All of their art rises from their core inspiration: queer and female artists of color from the past, present, and future. In Portland, Oregon they co-founded and facilitated The AGE Theatre Collective and mentorship program to empower the resiliency of female and non-binary theatre artists of color. Cambria is a graduate of George Fox University, where they earned their BA in Theatre.

Preston Choi is a playwright whose work focuses on social science fiction, Asian-American/mixed race/queer lives, and the joy/horror of being alive. His plays include limp wrist on the lever (Round House Theatre 2022 National Capital New Play Festival), You Will Get Used To It (Cygnet Theatre 2022 Finish Line), Happy Birthday Mars Rover ( KCACTF 2022 Planet Earth Arts Playwriting Award, 2022 Darrell Ayers Playwriting Award), performing class (2021-2022 NNPN Bridge Program, 2020-2021 Playwrights Realm Scratchpad Series), A Great Migration or The Migratory Patterns of the North American Monarch Butterfly and the Development of Fatherless Sons (KCACTF 2021 Paul Stephen Lim Playwriting Award, 2019 NNPN National New Play Showcase, 2017 Agnes Nixon Award). His plays have also been developed with Interact Theatre, Sideshow Theatre, Artist at Play, Silk Road Rising, CAATA, The Passage Theatre, Victory Gardens Theatre, and Our Perspective.
