Theatre Minor

The Theatre minor provides students an opportunity to explore their area of interest in acting, directing, playwriting, history, stage management and/or design. Several Theatre and Dance undergraduate productions are held each year giving students the chance to perform on stage and/or assist in these productions. These productions are performed in our Theatre District, which is shared with the Tony award-winning La Jolla Playhouse.

The Theatre minor consists of seven theatre courses, one of which is Practicum. It is recommended that students declare the theatre minor as soon as possible as priority enrollment in the Practicums is given to majors and minors. Minors can be declared online at TritonLink. No audition required. All courses taken for the minor must be taken for a letter grade and only grades of “C-“ or better will be accepted.
