Wagner New Play Festival
at UC San Diego 2013 April 17 - 27  This year at WNPF, the plays range in scope from the untold story of Picasso's best friend to the story of a Haitian-American immigrant struggling to make a life for herself in Miami. They take place in Paris at the dawn of the 20th century and China at the dawn of the 21st. They ask questions ranging from what drives a person to catastrophic violence to what price we pay to escape the demons of our past.

An intermedial exploration, blends academic parody, dance,
opera, live DJ mixing, and video to fracture the audience’s sense
of what performance means. With an ensemble of artists from
various disciplines and nationalities, including the Netherlands,
Austria, Czech Republic, the UK, and US, Fractalicious! adventures
in the depths of intimacy to explore: “How does speed, scale, and
proximity influence value, desire, and feeling?” Share in an
unforgettable, unexperienceable experience.
