STAN STAUFFER, Production Welder. Stan was born and raised in suburban Pennsylvania. He was educated in Boston at Northeastern University and Emerson College where he received a B.F.A. in 1983. He began his professional Theatre career in 1979 working as a flunky for the Opera Co of Boston. A failed poet, Stan found it easy to descend into a profligate life in Technical Theatre. His past employers include Spoleto Festival, American Music Theatre Festival, The Juilliard School, Opera Carolina, Players Theatre, The Ally Theatre, and The Old Globe among others. He has been the primary welder for UCSD/LJP since August 1997. Stan is convinced that one day Dachshunds will rule the world, since they already rule his.

ESPE GALLARDO, Assistant Shop Manager. I am the Assistant Prop Shop Manager / Shopper / Buyer / Chauffer, etc. I work for both the UCSD Dept. of Theater & Dance and the La Jolla Playhouse. I have worked for both establishments for over 19 years. I get to work closely with many professional designers and with most of the students (which I enjoy the most).

IAN GRANT, Props Artisan

JEFFREY "WILL" WIDICK, Prop Shop Foreman & Artisan. Will is a proud farm boy from Illinois who loves the beaches and other pleasures of nature that California has to offer. After working in theater in Chicago,Will moved to San Diego and found his way to UCSD Dept of Theater and Dance and La Jolla Playhouse Props Dept in January 2003. As a joint staffer, Will is very pleased to be in his position and to be able to work closely with the production staff and students at UCSD. In addition to the normal duties that a prop shop foreman and artisan must perform, he is especially pleased to prop master student shows as well. Will also builds custom furniture and works with other small theaters in the San Diego area.
