UC San Diego Faculty and Alumni gather for Ayad Akhtar's JUNK at Lincoln Center Theater

On Sunday, November 5th, alumni from UC San Diego’s Division of Arts and Humanities gathered to see the Broadway production of Ayad Akhtar’s Junk at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, followed by a fundraising dinner at the Atlantic Grill.

Junk had its World Premiere production at the La Jolla Playhouse in 2016. It tells the story of Robert Merkin’s assault on American capitalism through an investment firm. The show features Department Chair Chuck Means as the production stage manager, and is the Broadway debut for MFA acting alum Sean McIntyre ’17.
